Mary Scott began her development career with the Science Museum of Virginia Foundation, and progressed into senior management levels at The Richmond Symphony and later at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Business. Prior to joining Sabot at Stony Point, she spent six years as a senior consultant with Stumpf & Associates, Inc., a Richmond-based fundraising consulting company.
At the Symphony, Mary Scott significantly expanded the development program upon which a major endowment campaign was launched. At VCU, she developed the corporate giving program and alumni fund. She specializes in annual and major gift campaigns, organization planning, and budget management. She has served on a number of civic boards including Virginias for the Arts, Court Supported Special Advocates (CASA) and the Junior League of Richmond. Her undergraduate degree is in history, and she holds a Master’s degree in art history with a concentration in museum studies from Virginia Commonwealth University.
