Capital Gifts support projects that require substantial capital: construction of new facilities, campus improvements, technology in the classroom, and more. These endeavors are crucial to keeping Sabot at Stony Point at the forefront of education, allowing the school to provide facilities and technology that support its goal of engaging students in real-world research and meaningful learning.

Our current capital campaign, BUILDing the Future of Education, is raising funds for new construction to accommodate our expanding school! Phase I of our Master Plan calls for the addition of 10,000 square feet of space on the campus in two new buildings, expected to cost a total of $2 million:
- the Commons Building will provide 4,600 square feet of space on two floors for all-school gatherings, theater productions and indoor recreational facilities.
- the Classroom and Studio Building will include four state-of-the-art classrooms and an art studio. These spaces are specifically designed to support the unique research, creative work and collaborative processes that are central to Sabot at Stony Point's program.
We have raised close to $790,000 toward our $1.2 million fundraising goal. In addition, we have received a generous 2:1 challenge grant for $25,000 from the Morgan Foundation. Parents, faculty, staff, board and alumni are intensively seeking contributions so that construction of these essential buildings can begin.
We need your help to bring this exciting project to fruition! Please contact Mary Scott Swanson, our Director of Development, to discuss how you can help.
