Cris Wise, Rainbow Room

This year Cris brings her art background to her work with an older group of children in our Preschool, and is delighted to be in the new classroom space with lots of natural light. She is excited about the opportunity to discern differences from the younger children she has worked with during her ten years of teaching here. In past years, Cris and the children have created handmade paper out of recycled materials, and she will continue her exploration of the ways in which recycled materials can be used by both children and parents.

Kara has spent most of her working life focused on the health and well-being of children. This is her third year teaching in the Preschool, and she is constantly amazed by what she learns alongside young children. Kara is a Registered Nurse with a Master's degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University.

Beginning this year, Kara will also teach Life Science in our Middle School. She looks forward to sharing investigation, inspiration, and her lifelong passion for science with her students.

Robyn Johnson, Meadow Room

This is Robyn's twentieth year at our preschool. Her deepest passion is guiding children as they explore the social aspects of school and develop their ideas about who they are and how they relate to others in a group setting.
