Deb brings to Sabot at Stony Point many years of experience as a teacher at the preschool and elementary levels, as well as training in early childhood education and child development. Before moving into teaching, she had dreamed of becoming a writer – a dream that is reflected in her ongoing fascination with storytelling and performance. Over the years she has worked as a storyteller and been involved in various singing and acting groups. An important focus of her work as a teacher has been the challenge of using art, music and story to present material to children and to lead to new ways of teaching.
