Renee graduated from Lynchburg College with a B.S. in Athletic Training and earned a Master’s degree in Health and Movement Science from Virginia Commonwealth University. For the past four years, she directed the GirlForce program at the YMCA of Greater Richmond, and assisted with the implementation of YMCA GuyForce. These youth fitness programs include curriculum in fitness, nutrition, body image (for girls), emotional intelligence (for boys) and smoking prevention

After earning a B.A. in Arts Management at Randolph-Macon College, Stephanie assisted at a summer arts program for children administered by the Piedmont Arts Association (a subsidiary of the VMFA), and later went on to work as Guest Services Manager at the Children’s Museum. Realizing that her true interest lay in education rather than the nonprofit world, she worked for three years as a nanny, and in 2007, she joined our Preschool, working closely with Sara Ferguson as an assistant teacher. Chris worked as a long-term substitute teacher at our Preschool two years ago and is excited to be starting her third year of teaching this fall. She is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, where she acquired her first preschool experience working on campus. Even though her degree is in business administration, her heart is with children. Chris has been caring for children, including her own five girls, for over 25 years.
