VMFA After Dark
Adults only.
Richmond is full of beautiful art and much of it is in the VMFA. Make an art evening of it. Meet in the Best Cafe and then head to the galleries for an evening of exploring the museum's fine art collections with friends. There will even be one of Sabot's own art historians in the group! The museum is open until 9 p.m.
Friday, March 16
6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
No charge
Gillette Garden Club
Leader: Jessica Trihey
Sabot at Stony Point's verdant gardens and grouns are one of our school's most striking features, and they shape our sense of community and of place. We will strive to become stewards of this landscape in every sense: we'll contribute to the gargantuan task of caring for our green spaces; we'll learn about Gillette and his work; we'll study and visit other gardens; we'll share ideas, suggesions, skills and knowledge; and we'll learn much that is useful for our own gardens as well. We welcome all gardeners, from novices to experts; the only requirement is a willingness to get dirty! We will meet once a month on Saturdays to garden and plan activities as a group; then club members can plan, research, dig, plant, prune, water, and dream as their schedules permit. Children are encouraged to participate in the gardening activities, but meetings are for grown-ups only.
Second Saturday of every month, October 8 – May 12
10:30 a.m. – noon
